Shettleston Harriers 'A'The McAndrew Road Relay Race 2007

Shettleston Harriers 'A' were the winners of the 68th McAndrew senior mens race in a time of 01:05:09.  The team of Andy Little, Allan Adams, Martin Graham and Jethro Lennox finished 54 seconds ahead of Inverclyde A.C 'A' and 2 minutes 5 seconds ahead of the third placed Central A.C. 'A'.

Victoria Park City Of Glasgow A.C. 'A' won the senior ladies race in a time of 56:59.  The team of Jill Knowles, Susan Finch and Sandra Branney finished 1 minute and 1 second ahead of Giffnock North A.C.C. 'A' and 3 minutes 32 seconds ahead of the third placed Victoria Park City Of Glasgow A.C. 'J'.

Jill KnowlesJohn Newsom of Pitreavie A.C. had the best individual time among the senior men when finishing Leg 1 in a time of 15:54.  Alistair Hay of Central A.C. 'A' had the second fastest time of the day when finishing Leg 4 in a time of 15:55.  Martin Graham of Shettleston Harriers was 3rd in a time of 15:58.

Jill Knowles of Victoria Park City Of Glasgow A.C. won the senior womens competition while finishing Leg 1 in a time of 18:29 ahead of Sara Stevenson of Giffnock North A.C. who finished in a time of 18:49 and Lesley Chisholm of Springburn Harriers who finished in a time of 19:03.

Carnegie Harriers were the 1st male Vet team to finish in a time of 1:11:14.  The team of L Lawson, I Stewart, A McGugan and A Hunter finished 10 minutes and 1 second ahead of Kilbarchan A.A.C. Vets and 11 minutes ahead of the third placed Victoria Park City Of Glasgow A.C. Vets.

Jill Knowles, Susan Finch and Sandra BranneyGarscube Harriers Vets 'A' won the female Vet race in a time of 1:03:38.  The team of Kirsty Husband, Lesley Chapman and Heather McIntosh finished 1 minute and 56 seconds ahead of nearest rivals Kirkintiloch Olympians Vets 'A' and 7 minutes 25 seconds ahead of the third placed Calderglen Harriers Vets 'A'.

Allan Adams of Shettleston Harriers 'A' was the 1st of the male Vets to finish in a time of 16:10, ahead of nearest rivals Andy Little of Shettleston Harriers 'A' who finished in 16:22 and Tom Hearle of Kilbarchan A.A.C. 'A' who finished in a time of 16:26.

Mathew Graham of Kirkintiloch Olympians 'A' had the best John Newson No9 and Mathew Graham No23 at the starttime among the Junior athletes when finishing Leg 1 in a time of 16:06, ahead of 2nd placed Craig Ruddy of Inverclyde A.C 'A' who finished in a time of 16:13 and Stuart Greenaway of Shettleston Harriers 'B' who finished in a time of 16:42.

Elspeth Curran of Kilbarchan A.C. was the winner of the Junior Ladies race when she finished Leg 1 in a time of 19:40 ahead of the three Victoria Park City Of Glasgow A.C. Juniors, Jo Moultrie who finished in a time of 20:04, Rebecca Finch who finished in a time of 20:06 and Nicola Hood who finished her first McAndrew in a time of 20:23.
