The McAndrew Road Races 2008

Victoria Park City Of Glasgow is once again hosting the 69th annual McAndrew Road Relay Races on Saturday the 4th of October 2008 at Jordanhill.

The start time of the race is 3pm.

Registrations will be accepted on the day at the Refectory within Jordanhill School, Chamberlain Road, Glasgow.  Athletes should register for the event before 2.30pm.  Registration Forms can be downloaded here.

The Start/Finish line is on Helensburgh Drive, about 1/2 mile from the changing and registration area.

Teams of 4 men or 3 women will circuit the three and a quarter mile course.  The cost of entry will be £12 for a mens team and £9 for a female team.

A full map of the route can be downloaded here.

Last years winning men's team was Inverclyde AC "A" with a combined time of 65.19 mins,  second was Shettleston Harriers "A" with a combined time of 67.11 mins and third was Ron Hill Cambuslang "A" with a combined time of 67.17 mins.

The winning women's team was City Of Glasgow "A" with a combined time of 57.54 mins, second was Springburn Harriers Ladies "A" with a combined time of 59.34 mins.

The result of the 2007 race can be found at this link.

Just under 100 teams competed for the prizes on offer in 2006.  This year we expect to exceed that number.

Hope to see you there.
